The agreed fixed fee will depend on the complexity of the matter and the casework involved in the matter.

Notes

  1. The professional fee is fixed, and VAT is payable. The fee is applicable for applications, appeals, asylum, detention, bail and court representation. The fee includes:
    1. Attendances including first interview and subsequent meetings on updating progress;
    2. Written and telephone correspondence with the client and relevant third parties;
    3. Consideration, research, preparation and submission of application including relevant supporting documents and cover letter;
    4. Copies of documents and postage.
  2. The consultation fee for 30 minutes is £50 which will be deducted on instruction.
  3. In the event of abortive work or substantial changes to original instruction, we reserve the right to charge at £120/hour.
  4. The fee does not include:
    1. The Home Office/Visa Application Centre fee,
    2. Immigration Health Surcharge, if payable;
    3. Fee for biometric data for a biometric residence permit, if payable.
    4. Third-party costs, if payable;
    5. Other disbursement costs, if payable;
  5. The professional fees are to be paid at the commencement of work. The official fees must be submitted with the application or it may become invalid.

Application processing time

The processing time for a UK visa or immigration application can vary depending on several factors such as the type of application and the country from which you are applying.

All the applicants are advised to check the latest information about application processing time on the official UK government website either applying from inside the UK or outside the UK.

What services are included?

The work depends on the type and complexity of the matter. Our immigration solicitors:

  • provide initial consultation where we assess the individual's circumstances, immigration goals, and eligibility for the desired visa category.
  • help individuals select the most appropriate visa category based on their specific circumstances, such as work, study, family reunion, investment, or settlement.
  • provide detailed advice about relevant immigration laws, requirements, supporting documents, the application process, costs involved and potential challenges.
  • guide applicants through the preparation of required documents, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and compliant with the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requirements.
  • draft a detailed letter of representation setting out how you meet the requirements.
  • fill in visa application forms accurately and thoroughly.
  • compile and organise your visa application package and submit your visa application to the UKVI or relevant immigration authorities.
  • handle any correspondence, requests for additional information, or enquiries from the UKVI throughout the application process.
  • monitor the progress of the application and provide updates to the applicant as needed.

Hourly charges

When dealing with matters where we charge an hourly rate, we will be pleased to give you clear and open advice about the costs that you will incur in instructing us to act on your behalf. Our hourly fees will be calculated using the below hourly rates and will depend on the level of experience of the solicitor or Fee earner dealing with your matter and the complexity of the matter.

Details of the hourly rates are as under:

  • Hourly Rate of Solicitor: £300.00 per hour
  • Hourly Rate of Trainee/Paralegal: £150.00 per hour

Disbursements

You'll need to pay all the disbursements separately in addition to the fees for our legal services.

Examples of disbursements include visa application fees, court fees, counsel charges, postage, interpreting/translation services, medical reports fees, expert report fees, mileage/travel expenses etc. This is not an exhaustive list and is meant purely as a guide.

What is VAT and how much is it?

VAT stands for Value Added Tax. VAT is a form of tax that applies to purchases of goods or services. In the United Kingdom, the standard rate of VAT is currently 20%.

We are registered with HMRC for VAT purposes. Please note our fees are subject to VAT, this tax is set by the UK government and is currently 20%. We charge VAT on all our services rendered to UK residents, except exempt or not applicable.

How long does it take to resolve a case?

The duration varies based on the complexity of the case. Simple matters may be resolved quickly, while more intricate cases may take months or even years. Our solicitor will provide an estimated timeline during the initial consultation.
